the lovely amadeo is a vampire. yes, he's immortal, drinks blood to survive, can't go out in the sun, etc. etc. he was taken from italy during the 1600s, and although terra isn't a stretch for him in the technological sense, he has no idea how he's going to survive. he's only a fledgling vampire, and without the guidance of his master marius, is rather helpless. it doesn't matter that his senses are far better than an average human being, or that he has strength that seems far too much for his small, eternally seventeen-year-old body. he's vulnerable in this place, and feels utterly lost. amadeo had never thought of himself as a weak person, not in the least; he's extremely intelligent, witty, and can hold his own verbally. but he had always relied on marius's presence to a degree that he's only just now realizing. on a good day he has the capacity to be sociable and gracious, humorous and charming. these attributes might return to him after a while of living on terra, but for now he's just a scared child who wants very badly to go home.
FRIENDS: amadeo is going to need friends in terra. he isn't used to being alone; back in italy he not only had marius to keep him company, but also a countless number of other boys who were being taken care of in the same palazzo. amadeo has a very vague understanding of good and evil. he doesn't blink at murder, doesn't shrink away from violence, but if these things are being done to someone innocent, he finds himself disgusted. so anyone 'good' or 'evil' has the potential of being friends with amadeo, as long as the person isn't totally monstrous.
ENEMIES: as was explained above, amadeo doesn't mind violence, but only violence to people that he considers criminal or evil. so any character that just kills for the fun of it, for example, might make an enemy of this little vampire. also, if amadeo ends up making friends and anyone threatens one of those friends, he would immediately jump to their defense and make an enemy out of the opposing person. other than that, amadeo doesn't go out of his way to start fights or make people upset with him. he has been known to break one or two hearts in his day, though.
LOVERS: little amadeo was head over heels in love with marius, his master and maker and benefactor. he does have the capacity to love others, though, but never as much as he loves marius. he's sexually ambiguous, and is attracted to any kind of beauty, no matter what gender. he isn't a very dominating person in a relationship with either sex, at least not physically. mentally is a whole other story. amadeo likes the feeling of people being infatuated with him, even if he doesn't return the sentiment. it's gotten him in trouble in the past, but that hasn't changed anything.

elle bishop is... well, she's a crazy bitch. but not without reason! when she was only 9 years old she was taken to a 'company' her father worked for... basically a company that did experiments on people like her. people with abilities: elle's ability being that she can create electricity. she went through brutal testing that eventually broke her mind, and then had every memory of that testing erased from her memory. from that moment on she was stuck inside the company, and because of that lacks a whole lot of social skills. she's a sadistic person, and enjoys shocking people - literally - with her ability, even going as far as to tell people that they'd learn to like it. she's a murderer and a product of the environment she was forced to live in. she's set countless things on fire, once caused a blackout... but she really can't be blamed. a lot of her motivation for doing the things she does is attention; attention that her father refuses to give her, no matter how hard she tries to please him or reach out to him.
FRIENDS: elle tends to be drawn to people that are like her. namely, people that are sadistic murderers. she hasn't made many friends in her life - if any - but people that are very physically weak and can't take care of herself wouldn't be the type of people she'd gravitate toward. she'd make friends that are strong like she is, and maybe a little soft in the head. any friends that she does make, though, are going to have to deal with getting shocked quite often - not enough voltage to hurt them seriously, but enough to make them feel it. that sort of thing just amuses her.
ENEMIES: yeahhhh, elle's going to be making a lot of enemies in terra. she's not exactly above starting a fight, especially if she knows she can win. even if she doesn't, though, she's not discouraged. what's more, she just likes messing with people - maybe shocking them as they walk by, or doing so from a distance so the person's left wondering what the hell just happened. also, people that don't really appreciate murder and mayhem would make an enemy out of elle as she rather revels in both of those things. typical 'good guys' would fall into this category, although sometimes elle blurs those lines.
LOVERS: elle has never had a boyfriend. she's never been on a date. being stuck in one building her whole life and doing nothing but her father's and the company's bidding would be to blame, but perhaps the fact that she's a sadist contributes. anyone interested her would have to enjoy little shocks of pain and generally have no problem with getting hurt. that's not to say that she wants someone weak who'll always put up with her shit; she's more attracted to men who are in control, even to a fault. she still has a lot of discovering to do in this department, though.

ah, the legendary jack harkness. and no, that's not just his staggering confidence talking. this guy's had over a century to make a name for himself, and goddamnit, he has. before being whisked away to terra, he was the leader of an organization called 'torchwood three'. basically they controlled any aliens that came to earth and were a threat. captain jack was very, very good at his job. he's a natural leader, and part of that comes from the fact that he's invincible. really, he is. he can't die. he can heal from absolutely any injury. he's a fixed point in time. underneath all that bravado, though, is someone a lot more troubled than he lets on. he's got a lot of deep-set issues involving trust and getting close to people. he's not violent by nature, but he is ruthless when it comes to threats on innocent people or people he cares about. he does know when sacrifice is necessary, though, so maybe he's not the typical hero that some people might see him as. he's just... complicated as hell, and with good reason.
FRIENDS: jack is an extremely charming gentleman, so he's going to make friends easily. he might not hold them quite as closely as the friends he has back at home - his team, more specifically - but he will care about these friends to some extent. things that kill other things for fun, he will not endure. he'd sooner shoot someone or something like that than befriend him/her/it. he doesn't totally condemn anyone that kills for any reason, because he's ended the lives of a few creatures in his time. also, jack likes to keep people around that are intelligent or useful, so. yep!
ENEMIES: he just... doesn't like things that are evil. the textbook sort of evil, you know? people that murder for sport or personal gain, people that are only concerned with absolute power, etc. also, if anyone ever goes anywhere near ianto (who is also from torchwood) he would hunt them down and kill them dead. like seriously. he doesn't let people fuck with his friends, especially not one that he loves as much as ianto (and any other torchwood team member, if they show up). doing something like that is the fast track to making an enemy out of captain jack.
LOVERS: the captain is a veeeery sexual being. he's got dashing good looks and the kind of personality that just draws people in, so it's easy to see why he is sexual. he has absolutely no preference when it comes to gender... or even species, if we're being quite honest. he was once something called a time agent, and he found himself on many alien planets and let's just say he managed to meet some very lovely aliens on those planets. jack flirts shamelessly with absolutely everyone he meets, pretty much. he doesn't allow himself to love absolutely, though. not ever.
