It's been a year since the Nero accident and everything has simmered down. Well, all most everything. The Academy has graduated its most promising class, yet. The crews of the U.S.S. Enterprise have been on shore leave and have been itching to get back aboard, with their new crewmates and captain.
Don't think that you're going to have to miss the fun. The universe is waiting to be explored, and it takes all kinds of people to do it. The Academy always needs to recruits in order to keep the thirst and search for knowledge alive. The children are the future, and they need to be ready to pick up where their predecessors leave off.
Moreover, while the Enterprise may be the most famous and sought after ship in Starfleet, it is by no means the only one. Every ship needs a captain and a crew. There are far too many galaxies’ in too many universes that remain uncharted. It's going to take more than Starfleet has to discover all of the unknown wonders that are waiting for them, and you. The big black is bigger than you can imagine. Don't be afraid to take a stand, and claim your place in it.
