( once upon a time ,)
And I said,
"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'
remember those fairy tales your parents used to tell you at bedtime?
about cinderella and her glass slipper, snow white, the seven dwarfs,
and the poison apple, and sleeping beauty and her hundred years of
slumber, all with the glorious 'prince charming' to save the day?
everything was always 'happily ever after', but what about the pain
and trials they had to go through to get there? it isn't always a breezy
walk to the finish line.
So I sneak out to the garden to see you.
We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew.
So close your eyes; escape this town for a little while.
'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter,
And my daddy said "Stay away from Juliet,"
But you were everything to me; I was begging you, 'Please, don't go,'
there is a town named silver falls, located in utah, near this little town
has a population of 30,000. it's located in iron county, in the southwest
corner of the state. just a a mile back into the woods in this beautiful little
town, there is a very public and very crazy high school, silver falls high.
And I said,
"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'
there was once a girl that attended silver falls high school. she loved the
fairy tales that were told to her when she was little, slightly obsessive
really. all of her friends thought she was kidding when she said that their
school was just like the fairy tales. like how little miss suzie white got
food poisoning from the apple her step mom packed in her lunch or how
mary glass always lost one shoe at the dances and had a strange urge to
clean things. but that was a long time ago, twenty years later. it's
happening again. there is something about these students. their lives
are sketched out in the fairy tales they all used to love as children.
