"NO!" A scream echoed through out the deserted room as Calie awoke abruptly from her usual recurring nightmare. There she was in the midst of all the chaos in the hospital, lying in bed exhausted, weak, and recovering from her daughter's birth after Johnny had tricked her into thinking he was Brandon, unable to get up and stop him Calie was forced to watch helplessly in horror as Johnny waltzed away with her newborn in his arms, leaving a bloody massacre in his wake and an already torn up sister completely destroyed. But this time around there was something very different-- the location. She hadn't roused in fear of what haunted her in her sleep to find herself sitting up on her bed in the darkness of her room. No, she had woken up someplace completely different, a hospital of sorts, ironically, perhaps even in a different country-- or planet -- all together; Further fueling the delusion that this was, indeed, a bad dream.
Calie had tried--foolishly-- for a few days to convince herself that this was all in her head, that she was somehow trapped in her own illusion or a bad dream, this was all just one big bad dream, but the painful churning feeling she felt deep within the pit of her gut at the mere thought of her daughter's kidnapping told her otherwise.. Violet was gone, stolen by her brother not five minutes after her birth and to make matters worse, she had been transported to this unknown and barren wasteland before she even got the chance to go out and search for her baby. How could she allow this to happen? For all she knew her daughter would soon be experiencing unspeakable horrors, she didn't have much time. And she wasn't even certain if her baby girl was still alive to begin with, a thought that caused a few stray tears to stream down her face, only to be wiped away quickly. Calie had promised Violet the second she held her daughter in her arms for the first time that she would never let anything bad happen to her. She had promised. What kind of mother was she...her pride and joy, her only reason for living, was....gone.
He loved her, he had said he loved her and she knew his statement to be true for a fact.....
Calie couldn't blame her brother for feeling the need to seek revenge for what she had done to him, nor did she expect him to ever understand the reasoning behind her decision to send him to Wonderland in the first place. It was what she felt was the right thing to do at the time and she did not regret her decision, Johnny had been and still was everything to her, the only thing she had left in this world after their parents death and a large piece of her shattered that night along with The Looking Glass. But to take Calie's innocent newborn away from her when she needed her Mother the most, How could Johnny do that? To his own flesh and blood. That was heartless and depraved, even for him. And she would never forgive him for his actions, ever. His battle was with Calie, not Violet, and she would bring an end to this madness once and for all no matter the sacrifice; Calie would gladly give up her own life in exchange for her daughter's safety.
There was nothing to be done sitting around here in the dark. If she wanted her daughter back she would have to begin searching for a way to find her. Forcing herself to stand up on her feet Calie glanced around her current location, her blue eyes taking her surroundings in with worriment and disbelief....This hospital was peculiar, and for someone who had been to Wonderland and back that was saying a lot. It was old, could almost be considered antique with the lack of electricity and design, it didn't appear to be getting much use these days. Or for the past few centuries. How had she gotten there? The last thing she remembered was heading home -or the place that was substituting as home for the time being- after she had left the hospital following the event of her daughter's birth and Johnny's surprise visit. Surely, she had not just appeared here out of nowhere. Someone was behind this, as to who that someone was, Calie was still unsure but she had a strong hunch; Suspiciously enough, she was wearing the very same black dress she had worn on her first visit to Wonderland.
